Gautam Menon
Gautam I Menon is a Professor of Physics and Biology at Ashoka University and at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He has been awarded the Swarnajayanti Fellowship of the DST (India) and the Outstanding Researcher Fellowship of the DAE (India). He is an elected Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences (India) and an Outstanding Referee of the American Physical Society. A biophysicist, the modeling of infectious disease and its implications for public policy is a long-standing interest of his. He has been quoted on COVID-19 in India across multiple media outlets and is a regular commentator on Indian and non-Indian TV channels
